Aries is now shipping. This print was designed by Mario Garza and screen printed by Gary Houston in Portland, OR. Aries is the first of a twelve part art and research series on the myths and symbols of astrology. For the last 4 years Mario has researched each astrological sign during the sign itself and created artwork based on his findings. Over the next year 11 more prints will be made to complete the zodiac. Proceeds will fund the completion of the series and the development of a book based on Mario’s research. This print was pulled by hand, measures 18 x 26” and is limited to 100 copies.

Aries (2021)
The Power of Aries

Aries is considered the beginning of the astrological new year and the cardinal sign of spring. Symbolic references to the fiery energy of The Ram are featured throughout the piece.

Designed by Mario Garza

Mario has been a graphic designer for over two decades and became a student of symbolism along the way. Despite working on a variety of personal and professional projects over the years this will be his first print series.

Printed by Gary Houston

Gary Houston is an artist and screen printer based in Portland, OR. His expertise and feedback was key in helping steer the project in the right direction.

Signed Edition Available

Mario’s sun sign is Cancer which corresponds with lunar energy and silver. In reverence of the moon signed copies of “Aries” will only be available to supporters who donate one or more ounces of physical silver. Click here for more info.

Limited to 100

Aries 2021 is limited to 100 copies and will not be reprinted. With the evolving nature of the project plans for an updated 2022 version are tentative and subject to change.
